Using Booking Agents/Source to automatically calculate tariff discounts

What does this do?

When a tariff is created on a reservation RMS will automatically add a discount transaction to the account at a % amount that you have specified not more than a capped figure.

For Example – Big4 derived booking may get a 10% discount not more than $25.

Setting it up

From the Main Menu go to the Setup Menu then Booking Agent/Source.

Find the booking agent that you wish to amend and edit it (or make a new one).

Notice the Commission section at the bottom of the screen.

You must supply a valid Primary Account code, which would be representative of the discount that you are applying.

You may need to setup a new Primary Account Code from the Setup-Accounts area.

Type in the percentage discount level in the Commission Box i.e. 10%

Type in the Maximum discount in the Commission no greater than box i.e. $20

Save and Exit.

All reservations that are marked with that Booking Agent/Source will be now given a discount any time the tariff is created.
